Keyboard Shortcuts – Neck Diagrams Support

General Global Shortcuts

This is a list of keyboard shortcuts you can use globally - ie from any view: Diagram Gallery, Edit Diagrams or Instrument Library.

New Tuning	CTRL+T	⌘+T
Switch View	CTRL+F8	⌘+F8	switch between Diagram Gallery, Edit Diagrams & Instrument Library

You can also use the keyboard to edit diagrams, which is particularly useful for fine tuning the position of items.

Navigate to item on left	Left arrow
Navigate to item on right	Right arrow
Navigate to item below	Down arrow
Navigate to item above	Up arrow
Zoom In	⌘ +
Zoom Out	⌘ -
Deselect current tool & return to selection tool	ESC
Move an item	Press the Period key ('.') once - the Move cursor will activate Use the navigation (cursor) keys to move Press Enter to accept the new location, or Press Escape to cancel the move
Resize an item	Press the Period key several times until the desired selection handle has focus Use the navigation (cursor) keys to resize Press Enter to accept the new size, or Press Escape to cancel the resize
Select multiple items	Hold down the CTRL key Use the navigation (cursor) keys to navigate to additional components Press Space to select additional components
Select multiple items using mouse	Hold down ⌘ and use the mouse to select components. Click a selected item again to remove it from the selection.
Select items in sequence	Hold down the Shift key Use the navigation (cursor) keys to select additional components
Override grid constraints	For fine-grained control over positioning when the grid is enabled, without having to disable it: Select object(s) you want to move Click and hold the left mouse, as if you are about to start the move Press and hold down the CTRL key Whilst the CTRL key is held down the grid constraints will be ignored, releasing the key will bring the grid back into play

Tools, on the lefthand side of the editor window, can be selected using keyboard shortcuts
